The Professional Latin American Association (PLAA) established a scholarship program to assist community involvement high school students with financial need who plan to continue education in college or vocational school programs. We are now accepting scholarship applications.

Memberships will be reviewed and accepted once membership dues of $125.00 have been paid. Make checks out to "Professional Latin American Association" and send to 229 N. Douty street, Hanford Ca. All members must be courteous, ethical, and moral members of our community. Failure to abide by the rules will result in cancelation of membership, without a refund.

ABOUT US

The Professional Latin American Association (PLAA) is a nonprofit organization, which was formed in August 2000 with four purposes in mind:

To promote the richness and beauty of the Latino Cultural Arts to the community.

To raise scholarship funds for local graduating seniors & re-entry students in Kings County.
-
To serve as mentors and role models to the communities youth.

Through out the year the Association is constantly putting on events for fundraising and networking. Events include The Taco Truck Throwdown, The Multicultural Festival, Noche de Cultura Awards, Annual Mixer, as well as other meetings.
